REIL honored by Rajasthan Energy Conservation Award- 2016



Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited has been honored with First “Rajasthan Energy Conservation Award- 2016” during the award distribution ceremony of 7th Rajasthan Energy Conservation Award -2016 held, on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day, at Indralok Auditorium, Jaipur. Shri Sanjay Malhotra, Principal Secretary, Energy Department, Government of Rajasthan presented the award in the gracious presence of Shri B. K. Dosi, Managing Director, RREC, Shri A. K. Jain, Managing Director, REIL and Shri N. K. Kothari, Managing Director, RUVNL.


REIL had been given this award by Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited, in Small Scale Industry - General Category, for its efficient energy management practices.


REIL, which is continually progressing on the way of business management and profit making for the last 35 years, is a Mini Ratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Heavy Industry & Public Enterprise, Government of India. The Company deals in Electronics, Information Technology and Renewable Energy Sector.


On this occasion, Managing Director REIL Sh. A. K. Jain said that REIL has saved 2.48 lac more units of electricity in the year 2015-16 as compared to the year 2014-15. The Company has saved 1.19 lac units of electricity by incorporating advanced Energy-Efficient equipments in place of conventionally used ordinary manufacturing equipments in its various manufacturing processes. The Company has incorporated various other Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) in the building which resulted in reducing consumption of 1.28 lac units of electricity. Further, by producing 0.342 lac units of electricity through Solar Energy, the Company has continued its leadership in Green Energy and Energy Conservation Sector across the country.

Managing Director, REIL, expressed his gratitude to the valuable guidance(s) received from organizers, jury, Department of Heavy Industries, Government of India, Ministry of Electricity, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, RREC, Government of Rajasthan, Instrumentation Limited and RIICO.


On this occasion, Shri A.K. Jain congratulated the officers & employees of REIL and said that the Company will maintain its continuity in Electronics, Information technology and Renewable Energy based products and services, by giving importance to the conservation of energy for social and economical development of rural masses.
