The mobile app (CPUCC) and website (https://rajasthanpuc.in), made by the Rajasthan Electronics and Instruments Limited (REIL), Jaipur, as per Rajasthan Motor-vehicle Pollution Testing Center Scheme (Online) – 2017 was inaugurated by Shri Yunus Khan, Honorable Minister, Public Works and Transportation Department, Rajasthan Government in the gracious presence of Shri Shailendra Agarwal, Transport Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Shri A. K. Jain, Managing Director, REIL and other eminent dignitaries, at Heera Service Station, Jaipur.
On this occasion, Shri A. K. Jain, Managing Director, REIL stated that REIL, on the initiative of Government of India and Government of Rajasthan and after studying the previously prevailing PUC Centers, analyzing the similar works done in this direction in PUC Centers of Delhi and Karnataka state and in tie up with the AVL Company, has presented a full-proof solution for the proper monitoring of PUC Centers through central software and server, which was inaugurated by the Honorable Minister today.
Shri A. K. Jain said that the use of innovating solutions to technology has significantly contributed in the rapid growth of REIL. Our objective is to address the emerging needs through rugged, efficient, reliable and affordable products and solutions in Electronics, Renewable Energy and Information Technology, benchmarking with world’s best and best in class while working in Mission mode aligning with National Missions. Shri Jain also stated that as per the available statistics, 20 percentage of the overall pollution of the country is vehicular pollution. This pollution testing will become necessary to all vehicles after this online PUC Center Scheme and will certainly result into a remarkable decrease in overall vehicular pollution. This system will ensure the way for a clean and healthy environment for the future generations.
On this occasion, Shri Agarwal expressed his concern on increasing vehicular pollution and stated that only 5 percent of around 1 crore of total registered operating vehicles of Rajasthan gets regular testing of their vehicles. He cautioned about the negative impacts of this increasing pollution on the health of the common man and said that a decrease of 2-3 years in the average age in big cities would be observed because of this.
On this occasion, Shri Yunus Khan, Honorable Minister, Public Works and Transportation Department, Rajasthan Government admired the unified efforts of REIL and AVL and stated that these efforts will be helpful in the betterment of the environment of the state and other states will also be benefitted by adopting this technique after getting inspired from Rajasthan. Out of 1000 PUC Centers of Rajasthan, this online system is ready at 84 centers of Jaipur district in its first phase and will soon be working in the whole of the Rajasthan.
