The Company has been using the digital electronics and computing technology since more than three decades i.e. 1981, when the Company was initially established. The Company created an infrastructure for design and development of digital electronic-circuits as well as development of software applications on PCs to run in conjunction with electronic products of the Company.

The Company further enriched this infrastructure with computing platforms and programming environment to develop applications for in-house use in the various business areas/departments of the Company. These applications covered business areas of Procurement, Stores, Finance & Accounts, Human Resource, Sales, After-sales-service, Manufacturing, Production, Planning etc. The Company also deployed a software for automated milk collection at societies using personal computers, electronic weighing system, and Electronic Milk Tester.

This development enabled the organization to make progress in IT enabled solution for preparation of voter ID card (EPIC) in 1994, wherein it created a substantial infrastructure with over 100 computing systems, and matching peripherals to produce over 5.5 million voter ID cards.

The Company further created the infrastructure for network based applications and business applications for dairy vertical. The Company developed a LAN based solution for Dairy Plants for bulk milk reception, milk testing and computation of payments. The Company also upgraded its software solution at Milk Co-operative Societies, to include various business activities performed by them.

In 2007, the Company made a decision to enter into software development business in other areas, besides software for its own products in the dairy vertical, and created a separate infrastructure for this purpose.

The Division created an infrastructure comprising Servers, RDBMSs, Local Area Network, Wi-Fi facility, 10 Mbps Lease Lines, tools for web & widows based software development, tools for development of IVRS applications, tools for development of embedded applications, cross compilers, Biometric devices, Smart Cards, RFID devices, GIS tools, CAD tools, Mobile/ GSM applications development tools, Data Communication lines, PSTN lines, ISDN lines, etc.

It also created a training infrastructure for training its customers and offer short-term training courses for engineering students including summer trainees. The training infrastructure comprises Class Room, Computing Laboratory with Network, Internet connection, and associated supporting infrastructures such as faculty/staff room, meeting room, conference room, library etc.

This infrastructure for software development addresses the software development, customization and service requirements for the Enterprise business, e-Governance business, Banking & Financial business, Electoral roll management and Election Management, online registration of students and pre-post examination activities, Hand held computing business by following best practices and industry standards covering all stages of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The Company has a vast experience in Windows based Application software (Two-tier architecture) and Web based Application software (Three-tier architecture). The Company has ISO 9001:2015 certifications for its customized software solutions.

These applications include multi-tier architecture for web based business applications, application using IT & communication technology to deliver multi channel information through web portal, SMS communication, IVRS, Call Center etc.

Some of the applications are highly data intensive and the Company has the required to carry out data sanitization, data migration, efficient storage, retrieval and archival.

The hardware infrastructure includes Database servers, Application servers, Development servers etc. with Microsoft Windows server 2016 operating system, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server 2016 to handle high volume bilingual databases; high-end desktop system for development with latest operating system; all related peripherals; structured networking with Fiber backbone; high bandwidth connectivity etc.. There is an adequate provision of Uninterrupted Power Supply, Stabilizers etc. for the equipments.

The Company believes in developing the core competency in-house and takes support of outside resources for delivery and field implementation, as required.

The Company has created facility to undertake Skill Development Programme in the areas of Information Technology, Electronics, Renewable Energy & e-mobility with smart Class/ Labs.
