In the function organized by e-Forum, Presided by Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, R. Chandreshekhar, Secretary, Department of Telecommunication, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India presented “Best Rural e-Governance Award” to A.K. Jain, Managing Director, Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) on 02.08.2011 in a ceremony held at The Ashok, New Delhi. REIL has received the award for its product - “Automatic Milk Collection System with Society Accounting and Management Software”.
REIL is a Mini Ratna Public Sector Enterprise under the ministry of Heavy Industry & Public Enterprise, Government of India, with a track record of professional management and profitable operations over the past three decades. The Company is engaged in taking Electronics, Information Technology & Renewable Energy to the villages of our country.
On this occasion, Jain stated that e-World Forum 2011 has selected Automation of Village milk society by “Automatic Milk Collection System with Society Accounting and Management Software” as the Best Rural e-Governance initiative, for its prestigious Award. Jain further said that through such strategic technology initiative, millions of milk farmers in the country have been benefited by way of a transparent and trust worthy relationship with the District Milk Unions, during last two decades.
A.K. Jain, Managing Director, REIL, thanked the organizers including Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of Telecommunication & Information Technology, and the Members of the Jury, e-World Forum.
He congratulated the employees of REIL for this award, and assured that the Company would continue to deliver Electronics, Information Technology & Renewable Energy based products and services for Social and Economical Development of rural masses.
On this occasion, Shankar Agarwal, Additional Secretary, Department of Telecommunication, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Government of India and Tariq Ahmad Khan, Bangladesh High Commissioner, Bangladesh were also present.
