REIL celebrated 108th International Women's Day, at its premises on 08 March 2019. On this occasion a talk was organized on the given theme "Balance for Better": "Think Equal, Build Smart, Innovate for Change". Managing Director Shri A.K. Jain gave heartfelt congratulations to all women employees on the occasion of International Women's Day.

Smt. Anupama Sharma, Director, REIL delivered an impressive talk on women empowerment on this occasion, and by endorsing women’s right she emphasized the need to deal with equality with them. She further added that change in their mindset is a need of the hour and encouraged women employees to overcome their feeling of helplessness or weakness. Challenges in the behavior of equality with change in personality and thinking can only me met when women begins it with their homes. She shared the meaningful initiatives of various government and non-governmental organizations of women empowerment in today’s era among the participants.

On this occasion, Managing Director Shri A.K. Jain appreciated the combined efforts of government and society for women empowerment, respect, recognition of their achievements in society and in political life, and for gender equality globally. He further added that there is a need to put more efforts to empower women in today's perspective.

Shri Jain stated that the Company takes care in balancing its professional commitment with personal interests of all women employees so that the all-round development of women can be strengthen. He appreciated the efforts made by the Internal Complaints Committee on POSH REIL and reiterated the redressal of their problems by providing protection to the interest of women employees. He said that where there is no equal right to women at the workplace, women are facing various obstacles. For this, there is a need of sensitizing male employees along with female so that they can be encouraged to work together by caring interest of female employees as well. He said that achievement by the women across the country in current perspective in various fields like political, social, economic, sports education, science, technology etc., is inspiring and appreciated their efforts in new dimensions.

On this talk 24 female employees have participated and a documentary film was also shown to them, based on inspirational events for women, which was appreciated by all participants.
