Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) has been awarded with two prestigious Awards for Energy Conservation on National Energy Conservation Day.
Hon’ble President of India, Pranab Mukherjee presented the “National Energy Conservation Award -2012” to A.K. Jain, Managing Director, REIL in the ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on 14th December 2012. REIL has been given this prestigious award in the category – Industry General for its dedicated efforts in the field of Energy Management. On this occasion Hon’ble Minister of State for Power , Secretary (Power) P. Uma Shankar, Government of India and other eminent dignitaries were also present.
REIL is a Mini Ratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Heavy Industry & Public Enterprise, Government of India, with a track record of professional management and profitable operations over the past 31 years. The Company is engaged in taking Electronics, Information Technology & Renewable Energy to the villages of our country.
On this occasion, Jain stated that REIL has also received similar Award at State Level in Jaipur from Minister of Energy, Government of Rajasthan. It is result of saving 1.37 Lac units of Electricity in the year 2011-12 as compared to the year 2010-11. This has been achieved by replacing the existing manufacturing equipment with energy efficient equipment and introducing improvement in methods of manufacturing process and in other areas, to save electricity.
A.K. Jain thanked the organizers including jury for the award and also expressed his thanks for the guidance received from Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India, Ministry of Power, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, as well as RREC, Government of Rajasthan, Instrumentation Limited and RIICO.
A.K. Jain congratulated the employees of REIL for these awards, and assured that the Company would continue to deliver Electronics, Information Technology & Renewable Energy based products and services for Social and Economical development of rural masses, while considering the importance of Energy Conservation.
