The Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL), Jaipur received the “BT Star PSU Award 2015” for Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility” in a function held at Hotel Le Meridian, New Delhi. The award was presented by Shir Indresh Kumar, Member Core Committee RSS to Shri A. K. Jain, Managing Director in the presence of Minister of State, Ministry of Human Resource Development Prof. Dr. R.S. Katheria, Governor of Andaman & Nicobar, Lt. Gen. A.K. Singh and Gazhal Samrat Ustaad Gulam Ali Khan Saheb. The prestigious award has been instituted by Bureaucracy Today to recognize the contribution of Public Sector Enterprises in the economic growth of the country.
On this occasion the Managing Director, Shri Jain iterated that Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL) activities and an important part of Company’s objectives. Company executes Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities in the vicinity areas. The Company is committed about its social responsibilities and shall continue to do so from time to time so that awareness about the importance of solar energy and its usefulness can be spread in the nearby areas. Shri Jain also spoke about the responsibility towards society and people, fulfillment of Company’s vision with the human resources from the society, other materials and services, fulfilling the social responsibility, for the upliftment of the society which gives a satisfaction that can’t be expressed.
The Company organized 05 numbers of Medical Health Camps under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) where specially challenged students and students of BPL category were medically examined along with the distribution of essential medicines and health kit. In these camps 621 students got benefited. Solar Power Systems of 1.12 KWp capacities were installed in 10 Kasturba Gandhi Schools and hostels in the far flung areas of Rajasthan. These will ensure running of fans, computers etc. and enough light during the night in the toilets so that girls living in these schools and hostels get benefited. Apart from this Solar Power Systems of 1.12 KWp capacities were installed in the public utility institutions (04) like Police Thana, Primary Health Centre, and Government Post Offices so that employees working there get benefited along with general public and simultaneously become aware about the solar energy.
Shri A.K. Jain, Managing Director, REIL, thanked the organizers and the Jury, for selecting REIL for this award. He also acknowledged the support and guidance from The Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Department of Heavy Industry, Government of India and Government of Rajasthan.
Shri Jain congratulated the employees of REIL for this award and assured that the Company would continue to deliver Electronics, Renewable Energy and Information Technology based solutions and services for social & economical development of rural brethren.
